Q. What do I need to bring to hunt at the ranch?
A. Hunting License(go to links page for TPWD) Food, drinks, ice, coolers, pillows, towels, boots, hunting clothes, scent killer, thermocell in the summer.
Q. What should I expect on a stand hunt?
A. Large amount of hogs in a variety of sizes.
Q. What should I expect on a stalk hunt?
A. Guidance to the stand so that you may walk and stalk at your pace. Once a kill is made, a guide will take the hog to the skinning area.
Q. What is there to do while I'm not hunting?
A. Build campfires(if there is no burn ban in effect), relax in the cabin, barbeque.
Q. What does the ranch provide?
A.Lodging, cooking utensils, plates, cups, coffee pot, sugar, cream, bbq pit.
Q. What kind of weapon is allowed on a hunt?
A. Shotguns allowed BUT only if they have rifled slug barrels-NO BUCKSHOT. NO AR15-MILITARY RIFLES. Bow, crossbow, rifles, spear, handgun are allowed.
Q. How often should I be in contact with the guide before my hunt?
A. Contact your guide at least 5 days before your hunt to verify you are still coming and to get the final directions.
EVERY HUNTER THAT IS GOING TO HUNT HAS TO HAVE A DEPOSIT PAID IN ADVANCE.
WOUNDED ANIMALS NOT RECOVERED WILL BE COUNTED AS 1 OF YOUR HOGS. ALL WOUNDS ARE CONSIDERED KILLS. EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO RECOVER YOUR HOG.
